Filmtools is now creating the most rugged and battlefield-proof Studio equipment carts on the market.
The Studio Carts
This cart was designed for the HD Engineer who needs a work-space free of a perimeter lip. Their needs are unique because many of the new Hi-Def monitors have their controls along the bottom which are obscured when placed on shelves with a lip. The shelves are made of TIG Welded 6061 T6 aluminum and are mounted on an extruded and reinforced 6061 T6 extruded aluminum frame. Shelf sizes available include: (inches) 24x36, 24x48, 24x60, 30x48, 30x60, 30x72, 36x48, 36x60 and 36x72. They come carpeted (red) and have a rubber bumper around the perimeter. The standard pneumatic tires are 8" and 10".

These new carts are designed to begin where the Liberator and Magliner carts end. The Liberator Carts is truly a great cart, however they were never really designed to carry heavy loads, even with the wheel conversion kits. They've been very successful even with their upper-shelf 200 pound limit.

With today's new heavy Hi-Def monitors, or a fully dressed Panaflex mounted on a gear head and hi-hat, the traditional carts are working at 110% of their capacities.
