The Ivey Lamitated Slate has sticks (Clapper) that are made of solid hard-wood and have painted chevrons. As with all professional camera sync slates, magnets are recessed on the tips of the clapper which keep the sticks from bouncing when slapped shut.
The slate itself is made of clear lexan that accepts Dixon, Expo2 and Marks-A-Lot dry-erase markers. The slate's information and boxes are printed on a laminated vinyl plastic. Fits in all standard front boxes.
Bottom line: This is a high-end quality tool that, when used with a care, will last for years. Use Filmtools approved dry-erase markers only.
Size: 9.5" x 11". Weighs .95 pounds. Walnut slate base not included.
