Purchasing Coordinator

Job Summary

At the direction of the Director of Purchasing and the Purchasing Manager, assists in purchasing products from suppliers and coordinates the transportation and receipt of products from suppliers and/or other resources as determined by Company management.

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned or requested:


Purchasing

  • Analyzes company needs for inventory
  • Prepares purchase orders
  • Communicates purchase orders to Suppliers, vendors, and sales staff.
  • Tracks and updates Purchase Order delivery dates.
  • Requests Purchase Order confirmations and updates PO’s accordingly
  • Prepares and coordinates stock transfers
  • Works with the warehouse on all Purchase Order delivery discrepancies
  • Facilities returns for oversupply or defective merchandise to vendors.

Sales Support

  • Coordinates purchasing through invoicing or special order goods for customers
  • Coordinates invoicing and out-of-state orders and prepares documentation for warehouse facilities
  • Assists customer service and sales staff with product sourcing.
  • Communicates arrival information, out of stock information and eta (estimated time of arrival) information with the sales force and company departments

Qualifications:

  • Experience in purchasing, preferably in wholesale and distribution environment
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of inventory control policies and procedures
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

Physical Standards:

The employee must be able to walk, climb stairs, bend, reach, and lift if necessary, up to 50 pounds. To successfully perform the essential job functions, an employee must meet the physical requirements for this position. Individual may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface periodically throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required when filing documents or storing materials throughout the work day.

Compensation:

E-Commerce Product Specialist

Job Summary

Established E-Commerce company in Hollywood and Burbank area has an immediate opening for an Digital Content Specialist in our Web Department. Our ideal candidate would create compelling content for our products and marketing campaigns. The preferred applicant would have some familiarity with the variety of products in our catalogue including cameras, lighting equipment, carts, hard drives and more. Leveraging keywords and search optimization techniques, to create the optimal copy for audience engagement is key.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage new product listings
  • Edit and revise content based on internal or external feedback
  • Work with our marketing team & partners to set up promotions
  • Review and report potentially fraudulent orders
  • Monitor product campaigns & progress
  • Identify and resolve general website and order issues
  • Assist the development team with the development of websites
  • Audit new and existing modules and extensions

Requirements

  • Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Excellent grammar, punctuation and proofreading skills
  • Knowledge of SEO writing and keyword search
  • Experience in e-commerce is a plus
  • Basic proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3 preferred
