Am I able to exchange a LaCie product if I didn't purchase it from Filmtools?

Yes. As long as the product is still under warranty Filmtools can facilitate the exchange of the defective product with a new replacement drive, regardless of where it was purchased - no invoice or proof of purchase needed! If you're unsure if the warranty is still valid, Filmtools can conduct an easy and immediate warranty verification. (in-store, on our filmtools.com LiveChat, or over the phone)

Does Filmtools conduct data recovery services?

No, not at this time. At the time of exchange, Filmtools will troubleshoot the LaCie hard drive to determine if the hard drive is faulty, and issue a replacement LaCie hard drive if the drive is deemed defective and under warranty. For customers that require data recovery services, Filmtools will refer you to trusted data recovery service companies that can provide prompt data recovery assistance.

What kind of LaCie hard drive will I receive as a replacement?

Filmtools will provide customers with an exact model LaCie hard drive as the defective hard drive that is being exchanged. All replacement models are brand new and covered under the LaCie 1 year, 3 year, or 5 year warranties.

What should I expect when I arrive at the Filmtools LaCie Authorized Support Center?
