200 CHIMERA® lanterns are lighting up the ball room at the Las Vegas Rio Hotel and Casino and the 2005 World Series of Poker. The lanterns, installed by ESPN, for their broadcasts of the event are part of this now monumental event which began at the Horseshoe Casino in 1970. Over the years it has grown to be a month and a half long competition spanning 33 events covering a variety of poker game variations. As a side note, since the tournement, there has been an interest by individuals in obtaining the Pancake Lantern to go over home poker and game tables.  If you are interested, contact Filmtools toll free @ 888 807 1900 . To learn more about the World Series of Poker and pick up the ESPN broadcast schedule for the event, click on http://espn.go.com/eoe/wop.html

The main portion of the Filmtools Poker Table Light Fixture is made in the USA by Chimera for the motion picture industry. It's black ballistic nylon material is not effected by the heat from movie lighting, nor is the rip-stop white nylon diffusion. Filmtools combines electrical parts and materials to create the "Filmtools Poker Table Light."

The 35" x 35" Filmtools Poker Table Light is also portable. The fabric fixture collapses into a 6" x 6" x 29" box.

We've made a small but very practical modification to the system for home and commercial use by using a 500-watt light-bulb that burns for 2000 hours. It has a color temperture of 3200 Kelvin, meaning it is color-balanced perfect when using the tungsten setting on your video camera.

The 7'6" 120V 14/3 Power cord terminates in a standard grounded 3-prong household plug. You may want to hard-wire it to the ceiling, and if so, please contact a professional electrician. The light fixture itself comes with a standard motion picture industry 5/8" female mounting socket so that it can be mounted to any industry-standard boom-arm  or light stand. Setting the light up on a boom-arm takes just moments. Other mounting options are available...just call.
