Rosco's TruColor IR camera filter restores proper color saturation in situations where the use of heavy neutral density filter washes out color balance in a composition.

It is commonplace for a camera operator to use Neutral Density camera filters in the course of composing and balancing a shot. But when used with some digital video camera's these ND filters can adversely desaturate the color balance of the shot. Inherently sensitive to infrared light, the digital sensors in the camera can become overwhelmed by the imbalance between the visible light which has been attenuated by the ND filter and the infrared light which is unaffected by the ND. The Rosco TruColor IR filter balances the visible and infrared light allowing the camera sensors to render proper color saturation and restores the color fidelity in the finished composition.

Sharp cut-offs below 390nm and above 720nm restore the balance of visible and invisible light reaching the camera sensors
