ARRI Enso Prime 40/T2.1 F

Capture a smooth, natural native look and optional vintage effects for up to large-format and full-frame cameras using the LPL-mount ARRI Enso Prime 40/T2.1 F.

The ARRI Enso Prime 40/T2.1 F enable you to create distinct vintage looks using a single set of compact lenses compatible with ARRI LDS-2 and Cooke /i data.

Interchangeable Rear Optics

The Ensō series' rear optics let you quickly add one of six magnetic, separately available Vintage elements derived from the ARRI Impression filters for Signature lenses. Each look features a sharp center with a more strongly detuned effect at your frame's edges. Any focus scale adjustments are automatically compensated for when you use an ARRI Hi-5 FIZ hand unit. The Creative Adapter lets you create custom looks using nets, fabric, or any material that fits within its rings.

Shared Lens Characteristics

Each lens in the Ensō series has balanced optical parameters for a sharp overall look. All lenses feature ARRI LDS-2 and Cooke /i electronic lens communication that provides metadata to your compatible camera. A common 95mm front outside diameter enables you to use the same matte boxes and lens accessories across most of the series.

Natural, Sharp Imagery

This 40mm lens features a 1:4 magnification ratio and a T2.1 aperture to achieve both sharp close-ups and wide shots with stunning bokeh, gentle focus falloff, and minimal breathing. Gear rings on the lenses are in the same positions for intuitive swapping. Adjust the focus gear by 318° and the iris gear by 48°. Lens markings in feet help ensure precise adjustments.

Shared Color Profile

A shared color profile lets you intercut Ensō footage with scenes shot using ARRI Signature Primes and/or Signature Zooms.

Exceptional Close Focus

The Ensō lenses cover a wide range of focal lengths to capture everything from food photography to documentary footage. Their 1:4 magnification ratio means they all have close focus distances; this 40mm lens has an 11" minimum focus distance for close-up work.
