The Canon CINE-SERVO 11-55mm Compact-Servo Cine Zoom Lens (ARRI PL) delivers 8K and HDR-compatible imaging for Super 35 and full-frame digital cinema cameras. Featuring an 11-55mm focal length range with a T2.95 maximum aperture, the lens is natively optimized for Super 35 sensors. A built-in 1.5x extender expands compatibility to full-frame sensors, extending the focal length to 16.5-82.5mm with a T4.4 maximum aperture. This cinema lens series maintains a consistently warm color balance, ensuring accurate skin tone reproduction, while an upgraded V Drive unit improves focus and iris speed.
Minimum Focus Distance
The lens can focus on subjects as close as 2 feet, making it ideal for use on jibs, tripods, or handheld setups.
8K and HDR Image Support
Large-diameter aspherical elements and anomalous dispersion glass allow full 8K support across the zoom range, with controlled chromatic aberrations to reduce color bleeding. Optimized internal light shielding and coatings minimize ghosting and flare.
Reduced Focus Breathing
The CINE-SERVO’s optical design reduces focus breathing, keeping your angle of view consistent during active focusing, zooming, or framing.
Upgraded V Drive Unit
Inspired by broadcast zoom lenses, the upgraded V Drive unit provides focus breathing correction and enhanced servo performance. The lens includes an integrated information display and USB-C terminal for easy setup and maintenance. Three Hirose 20-pin ports power the drive, enable remote iris control, and support Cooke/i Technology and ZEISS eXtended Data. Additionally, 12-pin serial communication and a 16-bit value encoder provide accurate positional data, simplifying calibration during post-production compositing.
11-Blade Iris
An 11-blade iris produces natural, circular bokeh throughout the aperture range, with a soft glow created by the odd number of blades.
ARIA and ALAC Compatibility
The lens supports ARIA (Automatic Restoration of Illumination Attenuation) for enhanced illumination performance and ALAC (Automatic Lens Aberration Compensation) for corrections with compatible camera models. This compact, high-performance cinema zoom lens combines versatility, precision, and cinematic image quality for demanding 8K and HDR productions.
