Kondor Blue 4 x 5.65" Standard Filter Tray

The Kondor Blue 4 x 5.65" Standard Filter Tray is much more than a chunk of metal that holds a flat piece of glass. In the tens of thousands of times we’ve witnessed or ourselves lived through on-set filter calamities over a number of years, we’d found that filter trays were frequently the sticking point. We commenced by addressing the first most common problem with filter trays: that they would slip through the Matte Box completely by providing auto load-and-lock safety stops.

These Kondor Blue 4 x 5.65" Standard Filter Tray are spring-loaded tabs that glide along precision-machined internal dovetails. When used in tandem with the KONDOR Blue Matte Box System, they engage on both the top and bottom. We added rubber bummer to the filter release tab to protect filters from getting damaged when loading and removed a fingerprint-prone bevel at the bottom of the tray to provide the user with a generous finger slot upon filter removal.
