The Nikon MC-30A Remote Trigger Release is built in to enable easy access to remote operation. The Nikon MC-30A Remote Trigger Release shutter can be tripped by squeezing the cable between thumb and forefinger. Downward pressure on the cable actuates the shutter release mechanism, while side-pressure on the cable releases it. Releasing the pressure on the cable holds the shutter in the open position known as the tripped position. This facilitates unlimited time exposures by use of the trigger lock mechanism of the MC-30A (holding down the cable between thumb and forefinger locks the shutter button down to the end of the exposure). The Nikon MC-30A Remote Trigger Release cable features a 10-pin plug and can be connected to any 10-pin port Nikon remote release.
