The OWC 4TB Mercury Elite Pro External Hard Drive has a small yet shockproof palm-size design, and it provides a 3 year limited warranty, so that your drive and data stay safe. Inside you'll find a 3.5" SATA hard drive that spins at 7200 rpm, and provides transfer speeds of up to 300 MB/s, with a capacity of 4TB, so you can always have plenty of storage space for your favorite music, photos, and movies with the OWC 4TB Mercury Elite Pro External Hard Drive.
The Mercury Elite Pro contains a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1/3.0) port (which is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1), an eSATA port, and two 9-pin FireWire 800 ports (backwards compatible with FireWire 400 using an optional adapter). Along with a USB-B to USB-A cable, the Mercury Elite Pro also comes with Firewire 1394B 9-Pin to 9-Pin and eSATA cables.
Please note, this hard drive is not compatible with the NewerTech MAXPower RAID mini-SAS 6G-2e eSATA card.
High Performance
The Mercury Elite Pro houses the JMicron JMS562 and JMicron JMB355 USB/FireWire/eSATA chipset, which works in conjunction with the 7200rpm drive rotational speed of the installed hard drive to deliver a fast data transfer rate. The Mercury Elite Pro boasts a maximum read speed of 300 MB/s.
