What Is Neutral Density?

We're sure most of our customers are aware of what Neutral Density is, however for those that are new to this and are looking for the best filters for their new DJI Osmo Action, allow us to give you a quick rundown. In photography, a neutral-density filter, or ND filter, is a filter that reduces/modifies the intensity of all wavelengths & colors, of light equally, giving no changes in hue of color rendition. In an even shorter term, the ND is used to limit the amount of light that is able to reach your camera’s sensor.

What Is Neutral Density/Polarization?

We're also sure some of you are wondering what that "/PL" is too as well, and it simply stands for Polarization. The ND/PL combines two popular filter effects together into one single lens. In addition to having the properties of a neutral density filter, a ND/PL filter, integrates the features of a circular polarizing filter as well. Therefore, Unlike straight ND filters that usually have a neutral color profile, ND/PL filters provide more color saturation due to the polarization effect.
