The PolarPro Katana for Mavic 2 is a handheld and tripod-mount cinema rig for the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom. The drone fits in a harness on the bottom of the rig and the user can then capture smoother, stable footage using the two handgrips for balance. Furthermore, a Controller Mount and TriLock Mount allow attaching the Mavic 2 controller and smartphone to the top of the rig, centered with the drone to allow for easier control of pan and tilt adjustments. A 1/4"-20 threaded hole on the bottom of the harness allows mounting the rig on a tripod, monopod, or other camera support. The Katana Mavic 2 provides a way of using the drone in no-fly zones, indoors, and in other applications away from the skies.
Lightweight, compact, and featuring a weighted-balance design, the rig can also be used single-handed. The design of the Katana also allows you to set it down totally even and balanced on a flat surface, such as a table.
The TriLock Mount supports up to an iPhone XS Max or Samsung S9 and similar-sized phones, even with a thin case. If you'd like to connect a tablet instead of a smartphone, you can simply remove the TriLock Mount from the 1/4"-20 screw it's secure to and instead attach an optional tablet mount. A short USB or Lightning cable is required to connect the remote controller to your phone or tablet.
The Katana is made from reinforced stainless steel components and aerospace-grade composites for durability and longevity.
