Building on the success and popularity of the A1X, Profoto introduces an enhanced version, the Profoto A10 AirTTL-S Studio Light for Sony. The A10 features the same powerful battery delivering 450 full-power flashes (up from 350), a fast 1-second full-power recycling time, and 20 wireless channels.

What’s ground-breaking about the A10 is that you can sync it directly with your iPhone camera. The Profoto Control and Profoto Camera apps sync your iPhone with the A10 over Bluetooth—no additional hardware needed. The apps enable precise control of the A10’s flash tube power, LED modeling light, and camera settings including shutter speed, ISO sensitivity, and white balance in 1/3 EV steps. You can shoot in HEIF, JPG, or raw formats and use a self-timer. Instead of sending an approximation of a shot, email or text a professionally lit image directly. Future firmware upgrades can also be downloaded through your smartphone.

Studio Light Functionality

Used off-camera, the A10 truly functions as a “Studio Light.” It features a built-in transceiver compatible with other Profoto flashes including A10s, A1s, A1Xs, B2s, D2, B1, B1X, and B10 monolights. All Air Remote wireless controllers can trigger the A1X up to 1000 feet. The Air Sync offers simple wireless triggering, while the Air Remote enables remote control of power, grouping, channels, and modeling light on/off.

The Air Remote TTL allows full access to the A10’s capabilities, including channel and group assignment, TTL/manual switching, and ±3 stops exposure compensation remotely. The A10 can switch between TTL and manual operation seamlessly, retaining your original settings.

The light includes a Bounce Card, Flash Stand, and nylon carrying bag with shoulder strap for convenient storage and transport.

Profoto’s innovative AirX technology enables full flash power use with your iPhone. The Profoto Camera app transforms your smartphone into a professional camera. The system is future-proof and evolves with your phone’s technology. Control flash power, LED modeling light, shutter speed, ISO, and white balance precisely.
