A complex optical design incorporates one FLD element and three SLD elements to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations across the zoom range, and a Super Multi-Coating has been applied to individual elements and groups to minimize flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions with the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3.
