Headrest 484 - The Filmtools Headrest In-Car Camera Car Mount

Filmtools has developed yet another very functional camera car mount, by assembling standard grip hardware from our selection. Our Headrest Camera Mount is designed to hold cameras weighing 8 pounds or less. The camera should have a standard 1/4-20 threaded mounting hole, located at the center of gravity on the bottom of the camera. We utilize two mini-Cardellini clamps which attach to the headrest rods and 5/8" rigging grip gear. A Manfrotto 484 ball mount is attached with standard hardware as well.

For light weight cameras, this little unit will work quite well under non-violent conditions. While it's not cheap, virtually every component can last you a lifetime of dedicated service and you can use the components like Tinker Toys, to create other camera rigs as well. Cross rigging and triangulation can further reduce harmonic and resonate vibration.
