Gripper 116 XL - The Filmtools XL In-Car Windshield Camera Mount w/ 12" Rod

The Filmtools Gripper 116 XL Vacuum Cup Camera Mount, mounts on windshields, windows or any non-porous surface by pumping the plunger on the vacuum cup until the red ring is no longer visible. This vacuum will support a 70 pound load, even though the actual camera mount is guaranteed up to 9 pounds. Safety-point: Never leave a vacuum mount unattended.

It's just like the Gripper 115 XL in function, but is comprised of different - but like - components. The 6" cup has a 6" baby spud which allows you to slide the "load" closer to or further away from the windshield. The Bogen double ball has been replaced with a Matthews Grip head as the articulating hardware. By adding a 12" stainless steel baby rod, we have created a variable platform to adjust your camera height, by adjusting the Manfrotto base plate up or down.

The Gripper 116XL is also similar to our "Universal Mount", but without the additional two support rods and suction cups. Please note that any single point camera mount can and will accept resonant and harmonic vibrations and are not the perfect solution for mounting cameras, but the smaller mini DVCams do work pretty well using this type of rig.
