It offers perfect homogeneity of color, contrast, resolution, and low distortion, all typical features of the Optimo series. The Angenieux 44-440mm f/4 Optimo Anamorphic A2S Lens - PL Mount has an interchangeable focus scale ring from feet to meters, and its focus ring is precise and ergonomic, offering a scale rotation of 320 degrees and over 40 focus witness marks. It is adapted to extreme production environments ranging from -20°C to +45°C.

The lens weighs in at 16.6 lbs (7.55kg), making it one of the lightest lenses in its class. It has a close focus of 4'1" (1.24m), which makes it ideal for extreme close-up shots, and features built-in encoders. These provide metadata (focus, zoom, T-stop) via the industry standard /i Technologyinterface, developed by Cooke.
