The Aputure STORM 1200x Cine Kit (US) is a point-source fixture kit designed for professional lighting technicians, studios, and rental houses that serves as a standard way to deploy the STORM 1200x. This kit is based on the STORM 1200x, a 1200W tunable white point source fixture featuring our revolutionary BLAIR LED chipset and ProLock mount. With all the STORM 1200x Cine Kit components built together, the result is a fully integrated fixture unit that is easy to handle, quick to deploy, and efficient to store and transport with the Aputure STORM 1200x Cine Kit (US).

The BLAIR Chip Project

In its new STORM family of LED monolights, of which the 1200x is the first, Aputure is debuting its breakthrough BLAIR chipset that features blue, lime, amber, indigo, and red LEDs to deliver higher brightness levels and color accuracy levels. Rated 95 for both CRI and TLCI standards, the light also scores an 87 SSI rating at 3200 and 5600K color temperatures, and the multicolor diodes improve the light's color-matching abilities. The full CCT range of 2500 to 10,000K is enhanced with green-magenta color correction for advanced white-point control, and the unit's daylight 5600K output reaches 202,500 lux at 3.3' when used with the included 45° reflector.

Advanced Dimming and Connectivity

The STORM 1200x comes with a controller that enables advanced dimming, control, and functionality. Stepless dimming is available from .1 to 100%, and flicker-free, color-accurate operation is possible even at the light's lowest output. Wired and wireless options offer users a variety of control protocols, including DMX, LumenRadio CRMX, Art-Net, and sACN Ethernet, and app control via Bluetooth and the Sidus Link and Sidus Link Pro apps to integrate the light into professional lighting workflows.

Build and Performance

The light's rugged construction is IP65 rated for dust and weather resistance, making it suitable for use in even the most demanding environments. The light features a Bowens S mount, allowing the STORM 1200x the broad suite of Bowens-compatible modifiers with easy coupling and secure locking.

Not only does this stainless steel support let you place your light on the ground without fear of it tipping over, but it does so while accommodating its head cable and other components. This frame will also come in handy at rental houses or on location for use on shelves and carts.

Use with Assembled Lights
