The new DLC V7 DSLR Video Rig is designed to help relieve some of the weight problems encountered by the photographer when he puts all of his gear on the rig: DSLR, LED light, microphone, monitor, and follow focus unit. The weight can get to be upwards of 10 lbs. The overhead grip on the 180° bent 15mm rod makes it a lot easier for the photographer to carry when he is not shooting. Additionally, this grip give another position of stability if the photographer needs it when taking standard shots and provides a grip for low angle shots. Featuring standard 15mm rods, it is easy for the photographer to set up his gear on the rig. In fact, the rig is ready to accept a follow focus unit on the 5 inch long 15mm rods forward of the camera mount. Additionally, there is a quick release plate for the camera. The shoulder support is flexible allowing it to adjust to the photographer’s shoulder for extra comfort.
Product Description
The DL-V7 Video Stabilizer from Dot Line is a handheld camera support featuring a soft grip gimbal handle and three counterweights. It enables you to achieve more stable, shake-free shots when following a subject on foot, climbing up and down stairs, and generally walking or running with your camera. It's ideal for DSLRs and other mid-size and small cameras.
A 1/4"-20 mounting thumbscrew is included and can be positioned along a 4.25" slot on the camera platform. The camera platform has a rubber surface for secure and scratch-free camera attachment, and it features a bubble level at the rear to help measure balance. Two of the counterweights are 0.45 lb each and the third is larger at 0.65 lb. The position of the counterweights can be adjusted 2.5" vertically to fine-tune balance. The gimbal handle becomes easier and easier to maneuver effectively as you get accustomed to it with use.
The stabilizer is made of aluminum and features a black anodized finish for corrosion and wear resistance. The counterweights are stainless steel. The entire assembly with counterweights included totals to a lightweight 2.4 lb.
