K-Tek KP5 Mighty Boom 6-Section Graphite Traveler Boompole (Uncabled, 5')

The K-Tek KP5 Mighty Boom 6-Section Graphite Traveler Boompole (Uncabled, 5') extends up to 5' in length and collapses down to a compact size of 18.5", allowing for easy packing in suitcases or travel bags. Weighing a mere 14.4 oz, it is incredibly lightweight, perfect for travel and on-location recordings. The six sections are constructed with graphite tubes, providing increased stiffness and optimized handling balance. As a result, users can enjoy quicker cueing and improved control of the microphone, ensuring exceptional audio capture in any situation.

The K-Tek KP5 Mighty Boom 6-Section Boompole does not come with a cable. Its removable headpiece allows for various cable configurations without any soldering required. The top attachment is a 3/8"-16 male thread.

The locking collars feature a thick yet smooth surface, allowing for a more subtle gradual extension of each section. The anodized, oval divets with exterior dimples provide a great grip and smooth feel when opening and closing each collar. The finish between the tubes allows for the sections to sleekly glide open and closed. Additionally, the Mighty Boom poles are hand-burnished to diffuse handling noise.

To allow for quick conversion when working in the field, the KP5 is compatible with the KPCK5 cable kit and KPCCR Bottom Module (for conversion to a cabled boompole). It is also compatible with the KPTA Transmitter Adapter Module and KPTF Flow-Thru Module. Mighty Boom boompoles are made in the USA.
