The Monster Digital 1 TB Overdrive Thunderbolt Portable Solid State Drive combines solid state technology with the Thunderbolt protocol, delivering bi-directional transfer speeds of up to 10 Gb/s, read speeds of 500 MB/s and write speeds of 450 MB/s, making it three times faster than typical Thunderbolt connected drives.
There's no need for an extra Thunderbolt cable - wrapped around the outside perimeter of this drive is an integrated 250 mm Thunderbolt cable, so you never have to worry about whether you remembered to bring one when you're on the go. The drive is bus powered, using the Thunderbolt connection for power, freeing you from toting around an extra power brick or adapter. It's housed in laser-etched stainless steel to help protect against impact (up to 500g), and also has a LED data transfer indicator to show when data is moving back and forth between the unit and the host.
