Movcam Base Kit for Sony FX9 Camcorder

The Movcam Base Kit for Sony FX9 Camcorder is composed of 3 major modules: the Base Plate and on shoulder module, the Top and Side brackets, and the Distribution Box. The Base Plate and on shoulder module is an integrated design for a sturdy and reliable structure.

There is no play when attached to the camera. On the bottom of the BP, there is a VCT-14 adaptor plate for the use of Sony VCT-14 plate. When this small VCT-14 adapter plate is removed, the BP then can go with Movcam universal dovetail plate. The BP has a LWS 15mm rod clamp and is compatible with ARRI 19mm BP-8 as well. On the left side of the BP there is rosette block for left hand handle (handle is not included). The shoulder pad uses new material for more comfort and is durable.

The Top & Side bracket modules provides holes for attaching other third party accessories. There’s a second 15mm rod clamp on top for accessories like an EVF, etc. And the rosette block here can help users to move the Sony original handle backward so that it offers better operation on a tripod.

The third module is the distribution box. It’s curved design wraps the camera perfectly and offers quite some functions. It provides 19.5 V power for camera. And the Sony standard 4 pin XLR DC port can offer hot swap function with the help of a adaptor cable (D-tap to 4pin XLR). There are 4 power out ports: 2 for D-tap, 2 for 2-pin Leno for monitor, and wireless focus.
