The Nikon WR-1 Wireless Remote Control Transceiver is capable of remotely triggering and controlling the camera via a 2.4 GHz radio system that communicates over a range of 394’, without requiring line of sight. Nikon WR-1 Wireless Remote Control Transceiver can serve as either a transmitter or receiver and is compatible with the WR-T10 transmitters and WR-R10 transceivers. It can control up to 4 groups on one of 15 channels and will work with up to 20 WR-1 transceivers simultaneously.
The WR-1 can be used for a variety of functions, such as a remote trigger for long exposures or interval and as a way to sync the shutter of multiple cameras. Another feature is using a release delay to stagger the triggering of the camera. On select cameras users will be able to view and change camera settings as well. Additionally, it is either powered by the camera or 2 AA batteries.
